Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Airtightproof ("Airtightproof," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use Airtightproof.

What Airtightproof is — and isn't

Airtightproof is a tool for capturing and storing before/after condition records of items you rent out, and for tracking rentals and deposits. We are not an insurance company, a bank, or a payment processor. We do not move money, hold deposits, or pay out for damage or loss. We record the deposit amount and status you enter — nothing more. Whether a record "holds up" in any dispute is between you and your renter.

Your account

• You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract.
• You're responsible for your login credentials and everything done under your account.
• One account is for one operator. Keep your email address current so you can recover access.
• Verify your email to unlock capturing renter data.

Your responsibilities for renter data

When you capture a renter's information — name, contact, photos, location, or signature — you are responsible for doing so lawfully: having the renter's agreement, and being honest with them about what you collect and why. You agree not to use Airtightproof to harass, surveil, or capture data about anyone without a legitimate rental purpose. See our Privacy Policy for how that data is handled.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Break the law or infringe anyone's rights using the service.
• Upload malware, attempt to breach security, or disrupt the service.
• Resell or republish the service, or use it to operate a competing product.
• Misrepresent evidence or tamper with stored records to deceive a renter.

Plans and billing

Airtightproof offers a free tier (one asset) and a paid plan that lifts that limit. Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe on a recurring basis until canceled. You can cancel anytime from the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law. If a payment fails, we may downgrade your account to the free tier — your existing data stays readable, but the asset limit applies again. We may change pricing with reasonable notice.

Your content

You own the records and files you create. You grant us only the limited license needed to host, process, and display them back to you and to generate your evidence packets. We don't claim ownership of your data, and we won't use it for anything beyond running the service.

Availability

We work to keep Airtightproof running and your data safe, but the service is provided "as is," without warranties. Capture-offline-and-sync is best-effort; keep your own copies of anything critical.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Airtightproof is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages, or for any lost deposit, dispute outcome, repair cost, or rental income. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On deletion, your data is removed as described in the Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; we'll bump the version stamp above and, for material changes, give reasonable notice. Continuing to use Airtightproof means you accept the updated terms.
